Women’s Mental Health at House of Wellness

Your mental health is not separate from your hormones, your body, or your lived experience as a woman. At House of Wellness, we understand the unique ways women’s mental health can shift throughout the lifespan — from menstruation to menopause, from fertility struggles to postpartum recovery. We’re here to support you through it all, with care that validates your story and honors your emotional complexity.

Dr. Maniar offers trauma-informed, compassionate telehealth care to women across California navigating hormonal and reproductive mental health challenges. You don’t need to minimize your symptoms or explain them away — we believe you, and we’re here to help.

Hormonal & Reproductive Mental Health

Hormonal shifts affect brain chemistry, mood, and energy. These changes aren’t “in your head” — they’re deeply biological, and they deserve to be treated with the same seriousness as any other mental health concern. Whether you’re experiencing monthly mood swings, distress during pregnancy, or emotional challenges during menopause, we work with you to find relief that fits your life.

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) & PMS

PMDD is a severe form of premenstrual mood disturbance that can include depression, rage, hopelessness, and physical discomfort in the weeks leading up to menstruation. It is not just “bad PMS” — it’s a diagnosable, treatable condition.

PMS can also significantly impact your emotional well-being, even if symptoms don’t meet the criteria for PMDD. If your cycle brings emotional distress, we help you identify patterns and provide targeted support that may include hormonal evaluation, lifestyle adjustments, or medication.

Perinatal Mental Health

Pregnancy and the postpartum period can bring joy — but they can also trigger anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, or emotional disconnection. We support individuals experiencing:

Prenatal and postpartum depression or anxiety
Perinatal OCD
Birth trauma
Fear of childbirth
Emotional overwhelm in new parenthood

This is not just “baby blues.” We offer a safe, stigma-free space to share how you’re truly feeling — and get the help you need.

Infertility-Related Mental Health

Trying to conceive can bring an emotional rollercoaster: grief, shame, loss, loneliness, and fear. Whether you’re navigating infertility, fertility treatments, or pregnancy loss, we recognize the psychological toll of this journey. We provide support that validates your pain, holds space for your grief, and helps you cope without feeling rushed or dismissed.

Perimenopause & Menopause

The transition into menopause can bring unexpected emotional symptoms — including anxiety, depression, irritability, and sleep disruption. These changes are hormonal, and they are real. We help women better understand this transition and manage mood shifts through supportive, evidence-based care.

Mood Disorders and Hormonal Fluctuations

For some women, mood symptoms are tightly linked to hormonal changes. If you’ve noticed mood instability around your menstrual cycle, during pregnancy, after childbirth, or through menopause, we help you identify the patterns and develop a personalized plan for balance and relief.

Post-Abortion Mental Health

The emotional experience after an abortion is deeply personal. Some feel relief, others feel sadness, grief, or guilt — and many feel a mix of emotions. Whatever your experience, you deserve nonjudgmental care that meets you where you are. We provide gentle, confidential support to process emotions, reduce anxiety or depressive symptoms, and move forward with peace and self-compassion.

Whole-Person Care for the Whole Journey

At House of Wellness, women’s mental health is not a side note — it’s a core part of our mission. Dr. Maniar is here to support you through every phase, every hormone shift, and every emotional milestone with warmth, clarity, and clinical insight.
